Electromechanical and solid state relays
For new applications where reliable operation is essential, in harsh environments, or in existing installations where an exact replacement is required
ABB electromechanical relays have protected the power system for more than 100 years, and with the proper inspection, maintenance, and testing techniques, these relays can guard the power system for many more years.
Solid state electronic components provide a similar function to electromechanical relays but do not have any moving components, increasing long-term reliability.
ABB distribution automation products:
ABB delivers a full range of genuine IEC 61850 protection and control products also including network automation. ABB’s IEC 61850 compliant solutions offer a unified user-experience for operating power distribution systems from the secondary substation level up to the NCC level. The unified user-experience provides enhanced reliability, safety and the operational efficiency of network control and management. The protection and control devices also measure and collect data from the power system and intelligent network components to support the asset and business management of power system operators.
ABB distribution automation products are built to withstand the rigors of the most demanding environments including marine and offshore, industrial facilities such as mines and paper and petrochemical plants, as well as utilities in urban and rural locations.
ELECTROMECHANICAL HIGH SPEED TRIPPING RELAY PSU SERIES
The application of alternate control pulses to the coils because the contacts to change from the one state to the other. If the supply is interrupted, the contacts remain in their previous position, even when the voltage is restored. The contacts are arranged symmetrically on both sides of relay coil and armature assembly in two stacks.
