The RHGX casing supports switchboard panel cut-out mounting for COMBIFLEX modular relays and assemblies. However, when applications require direct surface mounting, users can choose RHGS cases or the panel frames specified in the data sheet.

The beige RHGX cases come in five different sizes, accommodating 4, 8, 12, 20, and 40 COMBIFLEX relay seats. Moreover, users can combine these cases with various mounting accessories to achieve greater flexibility across different panel depths and mounting methods. Each case features a front door with rubber seals, which provides IP50 protection from the front.

The RHGX case features a metal enclosure with an unsealed rear section. Additionally, its collar flange acts as a stopper when users insert the case into a front panel opening. Four screw clamps attach to the sides and secure the case firmly against the panel. Inside, a dedicated support frame provides the necessary mounting arrangement.

The support frame accommodates 4U assemblies, with widths that correspond to the number of mounting seats. Furthermore, the larger RHGX 40 model provides space for two full-width 19-inch 4U assemblies, accommodating up to 40 relay seats. Users can also mount COMBIFLEX relays and other apparatus inside RHGS cases using apparatus bars available in matching lengths.

The RHGX cases feature a beige finish that matches other ABB relay product series. In addition, users can choose an optional spacer frame for semi-flush mounting applications.

However, RHGX cases are not designed for installation in 19-inch racks or cubicles. Instead, users can mount different case sizes side by side to make better use of the available frame width within a cubicle.
