SIEMENS RUGGEDCOM MX5000RE TOUGH ENCLOSURE

The Ruggedcom MX5000RE Tough Enclosure is an MX5000 pre-installed and cabled within the RUGGEDCOM RX5000 enclosure.The RUGGEDCOM-Selector lets you configure RUGGEDCOM products quickly, easily, and efficiently, by using targeted navigation through selection menus or by entering item numbers. Selected products can then be ordered directly by transferring the parts list into the Industry Mall.

The RUGGEDCOM RX5000 enclosure is a tough aluminum enclosure built to improve the MX5000’s already impressive shock and vibration performance and even further reduce, the already low, electronic emissions from the MX5000. The RUGGEDCOM RX5000 enclosure uses EMI glass and provides a patch panel with EMI gaskets to keep emissions at a minimum. This hard mounted enclosure is one of many advanced networking solutions from Siemens, designed specifically for harsh environments, such as can be found in military applications.

When it comes to RUGGEDCOM products: Siemens conducts Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT) in the early stages of product development to detect any design or performance issues as well as Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS) later to ensure that customers get orders free of manufacturing errors and random defects. These include multilevel user passwords, SSH/SSL (128-bit encryption), enable/disable ports, MAC-based port security, VLAN (802.1Q) to segregate and secure network traffic, RADIUS centralized password management, as well as SNMPv3 authentication and 56-bit encryption.
